Elk Hunting
Archery elk hunts consist of six full days of hunting (September 7 to September 26). I'd highly recommend buying a bear tag too. The past few years we have been seeing an incredible amount of bear during archery season. Excellent opportunity - lots of action.
This is one of the most exciting hunts we offer!
Rifle elk hunts run from late October to late November. While hunting elk, it's common to see mule deer and whitetail in the same country. We also have exclusive whitetail hunts on our private land. Contact us for more information.
Whitetail Deer Hunts

Elk Creek Outfitting provides some amazing whitetail deer hunting opportunities for those who are looking for trophy class animals. With low hunting pressure and great genetics we have taken several record book animals in recent years. Hunts are conducted on both National Forest and private ground during the peak of the rut utilizing treestands, calling, rattling, and spot and stalk.
Mule Deer Hunts

Take advantage of our great mountain mule deer hunts during the peak of the rut for some exciting trophy hunting action. Hunts take place from either our main lodge or high country camps. Record book animals are not uncommon on both national forest and our private grounds.
Bear Hunts Spring & Fall

Spring bear are hunted in the lower elevations, in the green southern slopes (mid April to May). Fall bear hunts are in higher elevations off huckleberry patches with spectacular views. Both Spring and Fall bear have very high success rates.
We have a very high percentage of color phase bears!

Summer Vacations
Through the summer months, ECO rents out cabins for recreational use. You can relax and unwind in one of the cozy cabins for a few weeks. Enjoy Montana's Big Sky Country's beautiful sunrises and sunsets and a multitude of other summer activities in our area: Go mountain biking in the Cabinet Mountains, rent a lookout fire tower from the Forest Service one weekend with breathtaking views, hike to a crystal clear mountain lake, or we'll take you on a Montana trail ride complete with horses, camp cook & vittles. Or do nothing; come rest up, enjoy the solitude. It's your vacation. For more information and a price list, call ECO or click here. Be sure to specify summer vacations!
Lodging
Cabins
Gearing up with a hearty breakfast served buffet-style in the lodge and some great Montana coffee, hunters start the day off right for the exciting days ahead. Guides & hunters alike are ready to roll before first light. After hunting hard all day, our main lodge and 3 cabins are a great escapes for a home-away-from-home. Hot showers and great home-cooked dinners with a toasty fire nearby are definitely what a hunter needs after a day of hunting. Although many stay late to trade hunting stories at the lodge, the warm bed is very inviting after a day on the mountains.
Camps
We have three back country camps to offer. All of these camps are in the high mountains with breathtaking views. These camps can be used in archery and rifle, September through November, depending on the weather. We prefer trophy hunting only in these areas. In the past few years we have taken some very nice trophies from these camps (weather permitting). If this is the type of hunt you're looking for, give us a call for more details.
