Located in the Village of Waterville, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania is McConnell's Country Store & Fly Shop. Waterville is nestled at the confluence of Little Pine Creek and Big Pine Creek and is the gateway to the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon. A stop into our store is actually a step back to an old fashion "convenience store", where the customer will find anything from gasoline and automotive supplies, groceries, fresh deli items, clothing, shoes, gift items, toys and games, hunting, fishing and camping supplies and equipment.
McConnell's Country Store & Fly Shop is open 7 days a week. Beginning with the start of trout season (mid April) through the end of Thanksgiving (the first week of December) our hours are: Sunday through Thursday 7:OOAM - 7:OOPM, Friday and Saturday 7:OOAM - 9:OOPM. Winter hours are Sunday through Thursday 7:OOAM - 5:30PM, Friday 7:OOAM - 9:OOPM and Saturday 7:OOAM – 7:OOPM.
At McConnell's we offer a full line of services. For starters, we are an authorized supplier of Citgo gasoline and other Citgo products. For our hungry customer, our deli offers many different types of hoagies made fresh to order as well as an ever changing selection of gourmet deli salads and sandwiches. During the summer months we have softserve ice cream and sundaes available to satisfy your need for something cool and sweet. We also offer six different flavors of fresh fudge for those with a serious craving or a thoughtful gift.
We also offer Woolrich products, a well known product line in the outdoor world and we are proud to be able to offer their clothing, blankets and other gift items. We also offer several lines of clothing that are Made In The USA as well as an extensive line of teeshirts that make great gifts, or just something for you to remember your visit.
 Fly Shop
Our fly fishing shop is one of the finest full service shops in this area. We are a authorized pro-shop for SAGE, WINSTON, G-LOOMIS, REDINGTON and CORTLAND fishing rods, reels and equipment, LAMSON and TETON reels, SIMMS and FROG TOGG'S waders, wading shoes and outdoor wear, as well as WHITING and METZ fly tying materials and supplies. As a full service fly fishing shop, we offer the flyfisher a selection of over 350 flies to satisfy even the most wary fish. All of our flies are hand tied by flytiers who have an intimate knowledge of insect and aquatic life. All of these flies have been used and approved by our guides and staff. The local stream conditions (temperatures, clarity, flow and the hatches) are constantly monitored and reports are available. You can call, fax, email for this information or stop in, as we have this information posted in the fly shop. Mail orders are accepted.
Guiding Services
 McConnell's Country Store & Fly Shop offers a guide service that will take the flyfisher to several top producing streams in central and northcentral part of the state. Our trips may not always produce fish, but our trips will always give the flyfisher a better understanding of the streams that we fish as well as introducing new techniques and equipment to the flyfisher. If needed, our guides can provide instruction for the novice or the most experienced fly-fisher on all aspects of fly fishing. Our guides are knowledgeable in the aquatic life of all of the streams we fish as well the attractor patterns which will work on these streams.
Some of the freestone streams that we fish in our area are Big Pine Creek, Little Pine Creek, Slate Run, Cedar Run, as well as all of the tributaries that produce native brook and wild brown trout. We will also travel to fish several of the more consistent limestone streams such as Penn's Creek, Spring Creek and Fishing Creek.
When the water is too high to keep from wading the large streams we are still able to provide our clients with a unique fishing experience with a guided drift boat trip.

• 1 Fly Fisher - Full day = $250.00
• 2 Fly Fishers - Full day = $375.00
Our full day trips consist of a minimum of 8 hours lunches and nonalcholic drinks are provided.

• Fly Casting - $60.00 per person - 2 Casters minimum, 4 Casters maximum
• Basic Fly Fishing - $250.00 per person (8 hour program)
• Fly Fishing - $650.00 per person (8 hours Friday, 8 hours Saturday & 5 hours Sunday). 2 person minimum
